How to change a tire.
The Automotive Service Technology class and Mr. Harper demonstrate the proper way to change a tire.
Step 1: Find a safe location
Step 2: Turn on your hazard lights
Step 3: Apply the parking brake and wheel wedges if you have them.
Step 4: Loosen the lug nuts but do not remove tire.
Step 5: Place the jack under the vehicle and raise the vehicle with the jack.
Step 6: Unscrew the lug nuts and remove the flat tire
Step 7: Mount the spare tire on the lug bolts
Step 8: Tighten the lug nuts by hand
Step 9: Lower the vehicle and tighten the lug bolts again.
Step 10: Lower the vehicle completely and stow all equipment.
Step 11: Take your flat tire to a technician.
