How long teaching: 11 years
How long have you been coaching at the high school level? I have been coaching at the high school level for 11 years.
Any other club or college teams you’ve coached? I coached at the University of West Alabama for one year in 2009. I was a Graduate Assistant for Football there.
Did you play the sport you currently coach? Yes I played football in high school.
Did you play any other sports? I played golf in high school as well and actually played it in college too.
Family: My wife and I are both teachers and we have two kids, Mattie Rose (5) and Cam (2).
Favorite thing about teaching/coaching: I enjoy the competition of sport and seeing student athletes improve from year to year.
Least favorite thing about teaching/coaching: The long road trips and missing some of my kids activities because of work.
Hobby outside of school: I play a lot of golf while we are not in season.
People would be surprised to know: My wife and I traveled to NYC every year that we have been married (7 years straight).
Most memorable moment as a teacher: in my first year of coaching as a GA at west Alabama we beat the number one team in the country(UNA- North Alabama) on the last day of the regular season. That win basically put us in the Division ll playoffs.
