What Subject/classes/sports/clubs do you teach/coach/advise: Print Journalism I advise the THS Album and the Hi-Times printed newspaper and the THS Current news website.

How long teaching: 22 years   At THS: 8 years i spent 4 years at Houston High before coming to THS and 10 years teaching 3 years old Preschool at first Methodist downtown.

Family: I am married to Russell and have 4 children. Jont peyton are married and expecting twins! Scott is at Ole Miss and Chapell will be graduating this year.

Favorite thing about teaching: I love having fun with my students. Teaching Journalism allows me to have lots of fun!

Least favorite thing about teaching: Organizing my papers!

Hobby outside of school: Reading and spending time with my family.

Special Talent(s): My kids say it’s sarcasm. 🙂

People would be surprised to know: I won the Drama Award in High School.

I was the sports editor of my college newspaper. The Belhaven Blazon.

Most memorable moment as a teacher: Watching my students realize their own talents and abilities.
