How to check the oil levels in a car
The Automotive Service Technology class and Mr. Harper demonstrate the proper way to check oil levels.
Step 1: Turn Off the Car.
Step 2: Open hood and find the Oil Dipstick. Check the owner’s manual if necessary.
Step 3: Pull out the dipstick and wipe the oil off with a rag or paper towel.
Step 4: Put the dipstick back into the hole.
Step 5: Pull out again and assess the oil level.
Step 6: Add Oil if needed.
