Isaiah Alexander committed to Mississippi State
It’s Friday night on the Blue Turf and many fans are at the edge of their seats as the last minutes of the 4th quarter, would determine the outcome of the Golden Wave. But to Isaiah Alexander, this game would open a door of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
At 19, Isaiah “Zay” Alexander, is heading off to Mississippi State to bring in a touchdown for the Bulldogs.
“I realized I was going to State When I took a couple of visits after the coaches recruited me and called and sent mail,” Alexander said.
Zay who has been playing football since the age of 10, has a lot to look forward to this upcoming college football season.
“The team practices every Monday to Friday, putting in quality work on the field and having the option to rest during the weekend,” Alexander said.
Zay has recognized significant people in his life as his inspiration for continuing to contribute to his attributes and passion for football.
“My passion for sports really came from my mom, she always told me the great things I could do for my family. And how football could change my whole life. I also admire my high school coach Trey Ward, he’s why I am who I am on the field. He taught me a lot these past 3 years and he never gave up on me,” Alexander said.
Zay hopes that the next season for the Golden Wave will be great for the next generation of players.
“My advice to players this upcoming season is to treat every practice and every game like it’s your last and ball out,” Alexander said.
As for Zay Alexander, we hope your upcoming college years will be filled with happy memories and amazing playoffs during this exciting transition in your life and this upcoming season.
