Life After High School
Students share their plans after high school.
Older students in high school don’t always know what they want to do after graduation, but a few Tupelo students already have a plan for life after high school.
Senior CJ Holley is undecided on where he wants to go, but he plans to go to college and major in Theatre.
Students have the option to talk to career coaches to help them figure out what they want to do after high school. They also have chances to intern and shadow people in fields that they are interested in.
Many student athletes such as senior KD Gibson plan to go to a good college and go pro.
“I’m gonna go to Northwest for engineering and football. But I’m only planning to stay at Northwest for one year and then go to a better division one football school so I can have an opportunity to play in the NFL,” Gibson said.
College and Career classes taken by junior and seniors help students decide what they want to do in life and different career paths.
“I plan on attending Mississippi State University and studying Human Development and Family studies. College and Career readiness has shown me different opportunities,” junior Jordyn Akins said.
