At the state DECA competition in Jackson Feb. 19, Brookes Prince was awarded the Mississippi Association for Career and Technical Education New Teacher of the Year Award.

Prince is the Tupelo Career-Technical Center’s Marketing & Economics Teacher and DECA Sponsor.

Through DECA, or Distributive Education Clubs of America, students learn marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality and management skills.
