“People usually think that diamond girls are just there to like, look cute and just sit there in the stands and cheer on the baseball team, but we actually have to work and do different stuff to like, help out. We don’t just get to sit there.” Tupelo diamond girl Ariana said.

“Well they pretty much run the whole thing. So if they don’t then it wont go as planned.” Carson Foster said.
With the help of Diamond Girls, games and other activities involving the baseball team, things wouldn’t be in order without them. Ariana carefully organizes the team’s equipment before each game, ensuring that every player has what they need for peak performance.
“They do, like they control the music, they control the stands, they run the concession stands and all that.” said Carson.
The Diamond Girls create a supportive atmosphere that’s vital for team morale. The Diamond Girls are more than cheerleaders. They manage critical game-day operations. From the concession stands to the music, they ensure fans enjoy every inning.
“Some of them do like crowd control and they can get them up, they can put them down, it doesn’t really matter.” said Carson.
The purpose of the Diamond Girl program is to provide assistance to the baseball team while on and off the field. Diamond Girls are a vital part of the THS Baseball team.
“What inspired me to become a diamond girl is I just love baseball a lot and I like helping out and I enjoy most about the roles is that we get to like just have fun to participate in stuff with the baseball team.” said Ariana
