Most people were inspired by a certain basketball player who gave them their dream to play basketball.
“My biggest inspiration would probably be Kyrie Irving, he inspired me to play basketball. His technique and his balance is smooth and his play style is amazing. When I think of anyone who could be my inspiration he is the first that comes to mind,” Sophomore Jackson Holbrook said.
Before a basketball game players prepare themselves a certain way.
“When I prepare mentally before I play basketball, I like to imagine where I want to be and it motivates me to play better and longer. I believe if you have a goal in your mind before anything you can accomplish it if you really want to,” Holbrook said.
Playing basketball not only is just a sport and gives you exercise but it gives you lessons for other events in your life.
“Some things that I have learned while playing basketball is that you have to pass the ball sometimes. It’s a matter of realizing that sometimes you can’t always have the moment. And sometimes letting someone take over is the best thing you can do. This also teaches teamwork for future projects not just basketball but places like work and school,” Holbrook said.
Jackson Holbrook’s love for basketball is likely to have a good effect in his future.
