Tyquez Raines, a sophomore at Tupelo High School As a dedicated member of the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC). His journey in JROTC is marked by leadership, discipline, and a strong commitment to service.
Tyquez’s interest in JROTC began in his freshman year.
“I was always interested in the military and wanted to develop my leadership skills,” Raines explained.
“Joining JROTC seemed like a good opportunity.”
Balancing JROTC with academics and other responsibilities can be tough, but Tyquez manages it with a disciplined approach.
“Time management is crucial. I just try to get done what I can in the time I have” he shared.
As he looks to the future, Tyquez is considering a career in the military.
“JROTC has given me a good foundation”. I want to continue serving my country and making a difference,” Raines said.
