Jeremy Keith Reynolds, a sophomore, is deeply involved in JROTC and works on his grandfather’s farm outside of school. He is known for his maturity and plays the guitar, which might surprise people. In his backpack, he keeps hats, and “I will not bow” by Breaking Benjamin is often stuck in his head. A piece of advice he holds dear is “Do what you do till you have it made,” given by his sixth-grade teacher, Mr. Word. Reynolds’s biggest accomplishment was being promoted to technology officer over the battalion in JROTC. He enjoys the school’s football traditions and concludes with a “Go wave.”
WM: What are you involved in at THS
JR: right now, the only thing I’m fully involved in is JROTC.
WM: What are you involved in outside of school?
JR: Nothing much. I work for my grandfather. I do farm work, back and forth here. Better than that. That’s about it
WM: What is the most interesting thing about you?
JR: Most Interesting thing about me? Well, probably the maturity level, probably on that end,
WM: What is something that might surprise people about you?
JR: I play guitar, I reckon that’d be the one of the things.
WM: What can you not live without, other than a cell phone?
JR: My grandfather’s got me for a lot, so I’m gonna say him,
WM: What is something in your backpack or card that is unusual?
JR: Normally I keep a lot of my head gear. I keep hats and things like that in my backpack, which is weird.
WM: What is one song often stuck in your head?
JR: I will not bow by Breaking Benjamin.
WM: What is a piece of advice a teacher gave you that you will take with you?
JR: Do what you do till you have it made that was given me by Mr. Word when I was in sixth grade.
WM: What is your favorite THS tradition?
JR: Oh, most definitely the footballs and tailgates around that time of year where it’s, you know, it’s just starting to cool up as well as it’s getting hot, and as well, everyone’s getting out and ready to play.
WM: What is your biggest accomplishment to this point?
JR: An accomplishment back in April or May, I believe, or March, when we had our last promotion ceremony, I was promoted to the technology officer over the battalion for JRTC
WM: Is there anything else you would like to add?
JR: Go wave. Thank you.
