Jazmine White, a shy sophomore, is involved in band and JROTC both in and out of school. She finds food essential and often carries it in her backpack. A memorable song for her is “All I Want for Christmas.” A significant piece of advice she received was that every day brings her closer to her goals, which she received in seventh grade from her math teacher. Her biggest accomplishment is passing her state test. JROTC has inspired her to be more active in her community and school.
WM: what are you involved in at ths?
JW: So I’m involved in band, and I do J, R, O, T, C,
WM: what are you involved in outside of school?
JW: Um, the same two things.
WM: What is the most interesting thing about you?
JW: Probably that I’m very shy.
WM: What is something that might surprise people about you
JW: that I’m very shy?
WM: What can you not live without other than a cell phone?
JW: don’t want to sound big, but I would say food.
WM: What is something your backpack or card that is unusual?
JW: Probably a lot of food in my backpack.
WM: What is one song often stuck in your head?
JW: Um, all I want for Christmas
WM: Where’s the piece of advice a teacher gave you that you would take me.
JW: Okay, so I was in seventh grade, and this teacher, it was my math teacher, and she told me she was like, every day that you wake up is the day that you’re getting closer to your goals.
WM: What is your favorite Ths tradition?
JW: probably going to football games.
WM: What is your biggest accomplishment to this point?
JW: passing my state test
WM: Is there anything else you’d like to add?
JW: so when I started doing JROTC, it really, I wasn’t really inspired, but more as I went throughout the program, it really started to inspire me, make me want to step up to the plate more, do more things in my community, be more involved here at school and outside of school.
