AP History is a college-level course that freshmen can take to earn a college credit, which will help them in the future with college costs.
“Most of the studying is done at home from the book we’re given, but we go over the general idea during class,” freshman student Sarah Shelbourne said.
The book she’s referencing is the AP History book, which can be found in the library. Most of the study material comes from the book and is done at home; studying is required for this class.
“Most of the class we study and go over the idea of the unit we’re in, then we do any assignments he has for us,” freshman Rayan Rhout said.
AP classes are pivotal to high school students’ experience and can help tremendously in their future lives as college students and can help with the cost.
Statistics show the 2023 AP Statistics scores: 5: 15%; 4: 22%; 3: 23%; 2: 16%; 1: 24%, which for high school students is amazing and shows that AP classes help a lot in the future by reducing costs, in-state students at public 4-year universities pay around $447 per credit hour, while out-of-state students pay $1,131. Private 4-year universities typically charge $715 per credit hour, and two-year community colleges average $205 per credit hour for in-state students
AP History is also one of the easier AP courses available to students at THS and usually gives you 6 hours of college credit. There is plenty of study material for AP history, as well as Steve Heilmer is a popular resource for study.
“I mainly read in the book and used YouTube resources such as Steve Heimler to help study for my tests,” freshman Lilly Grace said.
Studying is extremely important for any AP exam, history or another AP subject, and resources like Steve Heilmer or Oversimplified can majorly help AP students with their exams.
“There were plenty of study materials on TikTok, YouTube and other websites that helped with studying,” freshman Sarah Shelbourne said.
Most AP classes, after their exams, usually don’t do much at the end of the year. It’s usually fun activities related to whichever course you took,
“Now, after the exams, we’re just watching WW1 and WW2 documentaries,” freshman Rayan Rhout said.
AP classes are extremely important to the high school experience and can help incredibly with college prices, and can help people make friends with projects and assignments, and overall help bring people together.
