The Tupelo-Lee Humane Society needs volunteers and donations to help with the animals. At the humane society, every day is a chance to make a difference in the lives of animals who need a second chance. 

With an increasing number of animals coming through their doors who were rescued from neglect, abandonment, or unfortunate circumstances, there just aren’t enough hands to care for them all. The shelter is in urgent need of volunteers who can help with many different tasks, from walking dogs and playing with cats to cleaning kennels and just helping out in general. The shelter is currently overflowing with animals due to the cold weather, animal control has been working so hard to get all the animals off the road.

Donations are also crucial. Every contribution helps supply food, medical care, and supplies to the animals. This shelter is a safe space for these animals, and they need our help to continue to care for them, but without our support from the community, they cannot care for these animals themselves. 

Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or want to donate supplies or money, your support makes a real difference. Volunteers help make a difference in the lives of these animals by showing them the love and care they deserve. 

“I really like just hanging out with animals, and they’re so sweet,”Julianna Nguyen said.
