The debate over whether cell phones should be allowed in schools has gone on for a long time. In some cases, cell phones in school should not be a problem. Cell phones have become integrated into our everyday lives by giving us the ability to do different things at the tip of our fingers.
I think cellphones should be allowed in schools due to the wide variety of things they can do, communication-wise and school-wise. You never know what might happen while at school, so in my opinion, it’s always important to have some form of communication with someone while you’re there.
On another note, I will say that allowing cellphones in schools can distract students due to social media and other things that may go on in their personal lives. Nowadays, it’s easy to get distracted by cell phones because they are so easily accessible and almost everyone has one.
Although bringing cellphones into school has a good side and a bad side, it can easily be fixed with a simple solution: screen time. As long as students know when and when not to use their cellphones, bringing them into school should not be a problem. Teachers and administrators can take up students’ phones when necessary and give them back when it’s time.
In conclusion, cellphones aren’t a problem until they are made into a problem. As long as they aren’t being used in the wrong way and at the wrong time, they should be allowed into schools. There is a time and place for everything, and I do agree that cell phones should be prohibited at certain times, but we are all human, and eventually we will all want a break.
