With the pressure of the season weighing heavily on their shoulders, the juniors knew this was their chance to prove they could handle the responsibility of leadership. As the spring game for Tupelo High School football approaches, we have had a chance to speak to some of the upcoming seniors about how they are going to lead the team to success this year.
“By stepping up as the upcoming senior, I plan on just being more of a team player and being more vocal and really stepping up,” Ashton Blanchard said.
With the upcoming season on the horizon, juniors are stepping up to take on leadership roles, eager to prove themselves as the next generation of seniors in the football program.
“I plan to step up as a better leader, showing the little freshmen and sophomores, showing them what to do, I plan on taking responsibility more and actually being there at practice,” JQ Harrell said.
With the pressure of the upcoming season, the soon-to-be seniors are ready to showcase their skills and lead the team to victory.
“I plan to step up to be a better leader than I was last year, meaning trying to help everybody in every position as possible. I plan on doing this by actually breaking everything down with the coaches.” McCoy said.
These upcoming seniors are not just looking to make their mark on the field, they’re determined to inspire their teammates and leave a lasting legacy. With their hard work and dedication, they are set to lead the team with passion and resilience, aiming for greatness both on and off the field.
