Aslan Wilson isn’t your typical freshman. While a lot of people spend their free time scrolling on their phones or hanging out in the hall, you can usually find him with his nose in a book.
Wilson isn’t only focused on who he is now, but also on who he wants to become. He’s already starting to think about what his future could look like
“I think I would most likely be a manager or a real estate agent,” Wilson said.
Wilson doesn’t just read books; he imagines what it would be like to live in them. It shows how much stories mean to him and how he connects with them. He is currently reading a book based on a TV show.
“It’s called The Journal 3 of Gravity Falls,” Wilson said.
For Aslan, finding the right place to read is almost as important as the book itself because the spot can make the experience feel even more special and enjoyable.
“[I like] a quiet place where no one can interrupt me,” Wilson said.
Wilson has his own way of taking care of books. Unlike some readers who like to highlight passages or write notes, he prefers to keep his books clean and in good condition. For Wilson, each book is something to be preserved and enjoyed.
Although he loves reading, he’s not solely focused on books. He also enjoys watching TV series and keeping up with upcoming movies, demonstrating that his interests extend beyond the pages of a story.
