Several teachers made the move from TMS to THS, bringing familiar faces and fresh energy to the high school halls. Among them are Mrs.Lane, Coach Howell and Coach Hagemann. Three educators who each had their own reasons for taking this next step, but who all share the same goal: helping students grow”.
Mrs. Lane made the move from TMS to THS to continue teaching her favorite subject, biology. She said the switch felt right because it connects with her long-term dream of becoming a biology professor one day. Even though she misses some of her teacher friends at TMS, she feels at home in her new classroom.
“THS feels like a better fit for me because it aligns with my goal”, Lane said.

Mrs. Lane believes the lessons students learned at TMS help prepare them for high school success.
“TMS provided a strong foundation in core subjects”, Lane said.
She’s focused on helping her students grow not just academically, but in confidence and curiosity, the same qualities that led her to follow her own goals.
Coaches Hageman and Howell also made the transition from TMS, stepping into new roles with the THS cheer program. When the high school needed new leadership, both coaches were asked to take over.
“The cheer program was looking for a new leader, and they reached out to me,” Coach Hageman said..

Howell added, “Same for me.” The move brought longer classes, fewer periods, and more time to connect with students — something both coaches appreciate.
Though they still remember their middle-school days, the coaches agree that THS feels like where they belong.
“Trust the process,” Hageman said. “You never know the good things God has planned until you step into it.”
“Hagemann admitted she was nervous at first”, but now loves the change.
“I love it here. I wouldn’t go back,” she said.
Together, the two have brought their energy, teamwork, and care for students to the high school — proving that change can lead to something even better.
While the change brought new challenges, it also brought growth.
“Everyone here is on the same team,” Hagemann said. “We all want the best for our students, just in different ways.”
The coaches noted that high school students tend to be more mature and focused than middle schoolers. “They actually want to succeed,” Howell said.
Though they still carry memories from TMS, all three say they’ve found where they belong. Mrs. Lane continues to inspire in the classroom, and the coaches have brought their passion and leadership to the gym. As Howell put it, “I love it here.”
