Ms. Alford’s AP English III class celebrated starting their The Great Gatsby unit by dressing in outfits that represented the 1920’s. The girls wore outfits that represented flappers, and the boys dressed in suits, suspenders, and vests. Along with wearing costumes, the class also brought food and presented Keynotes on different cultural aspects of the 20’s. Later in the week, Ms. Alford showed The Great Gatsby movie for a fun perspective on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s writing. The students were able to have fun while learning about the culture, fashion, and events of the 1920’s.
