Lady Wave softball holds breast cancer awareness game

THS Lady Wave Softball held their breast cancer awareness game March 28th on Tuesday night. The game was to honor survivors and victims of breast cancer.

“There’s so many girls on our team and in my life personally that had been touched and hit by breast cancer in our families and our friends and we just wanted to pay honor to them,” head coach Hayley Hogue said.

The team wore pink uniforms and bows in honor. Flowers were handed out to those who have had families members or have been victims themselves.  The game was played against Oxford and the team won with a score of 4-8.

“Obviously, we were all excited [to win]. We worked hard, the girls played well. And it’s just another stepping stone to get to where we’re going,” head coach Hayley Hogue said.
