    What subjects/classes/sports/clubs do you participate in: “In sports, I play basketball and I take work-based learning classes.”

    How long have you been playing basketball: 11-12 Years

    Favorite thing about playing basketball: “ My favorite thing about basketball is the bonding that comes with sport.”

    Least favorite thing about playing basketball: “ My least favorite thing about basketball is all the running and conditioning.”

    Hobby outside of school: “My favorite thing to do outside of school is sleeping, shopping, and hanging out with my friends.”

    Special Talent(s): “ I can sing really well.”

    Most memorable moment playing basketball at THS: “Being able to go to state last year was a good moment. It was a fun experience. ”

    What would people  be surprised to know about you: “They will be surprised to know that I am kind of weird, a good weird.”

    Maila Carpenter is a sophomore and 2nd-year  Wave Media reporter at Tupelo High. She’s from Memphis, TN and she loves her hometown. She’s very smart in a weird way, she likes Math and biology out of all subjects. Outside of school she runs track and field and enjoys running travel track. She likes being outdoors with her loved ones. She loves making memories so she is wild, she makes the best out of any situation. After high school, she wants to continue running track and she wants to go to college to be in the medical field, she does quite know exactly what profession she wants to settle on but she also wants to go to a Performing Arts school in Texas to get into the entertainment industry.
