Wind chill advisory precautions for Feb. 19

The wind chill value is expected to be zero or lower when students arrive at school Thursday. We will require students to either go to the cafeteria or the wooden floor gym in the morning. We are asking students NOT to stay outside for safety reasons. Students arriving on buses will be allowed to walk through I building by the attendance office to go to the cafeteria or the gym in the morning. Security and administrators will move all students who are outside to the wooden floor gym to sit in the bleachers in the morning prior to going to first block Thursday morning ONLY.
Teachers who are on main courtyard and Circle Courtyard duty are asked to go the wooden floor gym for duty. Students will be asked to sit in the bleachers and are asked NOT to stand or walk on the playing surface. When the bell rings for first block please walk AROUND the playing surface and go to your first block class.
