What Subject/classes/sports/clubs do you teach/coach/advise:Â I teach U.S. History and U.S. Government; Assistant Coach for Mock Trials, and Japanese Immersion Club Sponsor
How long teaching:Â Since 2006Â at THS:Â 12 years
Family: I have been married for 27 years to a pharmacist. My oldest son, age 20, works and my youngest, age 17, is a senior at the Mississippi School for Math and Science.
Favorite thing about teaching:Â When students who are struggling begin to understand concepts
Least favorite thing about teaching: Students who don’t care either by talking or not paying attention
Hobby outside of school:Â Fishing (fresh and salt-water), kayaking, hunting, trivia games, watching home improvement shows, food shows, and American Pickers.
Special Talent(s):Â I do public address for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade football games and fill in for varsity.
People would be surprised to know:  I was adopted and recently decided to find my birth-parents. I was a TV Reporter for 17 years.
Most memorable moment as a teacher: Â When a student who no one would thought would pass the U.S. History state test worked hard and scored proficient.

Sadly, I was born at a very young age.
